What’s the difference between Delta 8 THC and CBD?

The Delta 8 THC and CBD is the psychoactive compound that causes the “high” feeling. It is also responsible for the anti-anxiolytic and antiseizure effects. There is more THC than CBD in cannabis, but growing can increase the CBD percentage.

Delta 8 THC and CBD are not psychoactive, but they are what make our medicine so effective. They help fight pain, inflammation, and seizures but don’t get you high.

What ratio of cannabinoids do you have?

All of our products contain a proprietary blend of cannabinoids: CBD, THC, CBN, CBC and CBG. Our ratio helps to achieve varied effects depending on your needs. All ratios are available throughout all strains in both flower and wax form. The balance between the cannabinoids allows us to produce a consistent product with varying effects for each individual cannabinoid. We can happily recommend which ratio may work best for you + your symptoms based on your current situation with your doctor or caregiver’s recommendation.

We want to be sure and give proper dosing recommendations for our patients. The classic strains that we use have been tested and dosed with either Delta 8 THC and CBD as the main cannabinoid. We test all of our products to guarantee a safe and consistent experience for the patient, with up to 80% purity.

What’s the difference between THC and CBD?

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis plants that have been proven effective for pain relief, inflammation relief, anti-seizures, anxiety, and depression. Delta 8 THC is a psychoactive compound that provides a “high” feeling when smoked or eaten. It has also proven effective for pain relief, inflammation relief, and improving sleep quality. THC can provide assistance with the anti-seizure effect of CBD during the “high” state of Delta THC when taken at different doses in combination.

Is cannabis safe?

Cannabis, in all of its forms, is much safer than many other medications that are currently on the market. It has not been known to cause any overdose or fatality. Cannabis contains a number of natural compounds that provide relief and even cure some conditions. Because cannabis is a plant, it has more compounds that have yet to be discovered, which means continued research will improve the quality of our products and help us find even more ways it can be used for medical treatment.

Can you get addicted to cannabis?

No one has ever overdosed from cannabis, making it safer than many other medications on the market. There have been reports of dependence as with any medication, but it is rare. It is well-known that those who use cannabis medicinally are able to stop taking the medication without withdrawal symptoms or damage to their health. Excessive use can come with side effects and risks, however, such use is not common with medical users since we use cannabis as a part of our daily routine like an herb rather than a drug. If you take care of your plant the way you would care for any living being, there should never be any negative side effects or dangers to your health when using cannabis medicinally. We recommend talking with your doctor before beginning any new medication just in case. We also suggest starting with low doses and working your way up until finding what works best for you + your symptoms.

Do I have to take cannabis for life?

You can stop taking cannabis at any time. You do not become hooked and there is no need to worry about withdrawal symptoms or damage to your health. Once you have made it through the delicate “adjustment” period, you will be able to live without the medication. Cannabis is not a drug; it’s an herb. It should be used daily like any other herb in the same way you would use ginger, for example. We recommend speaking with your doctor before beginning cannabis use, but once you begin as long as you’re following all of their instructions and have been doing so safely for some time, there is no need to worry about “getting hooked” or developing a dependency to the medication.

Can I still take my medication on top of cannabis?

Yes. There is no reason not to. We personally know many patients who use medical cannabis and have been able to reduce the amount of pharmaceutical drugs that they are taking. We recommend talking with your doctor before beginning any new medication just in case. We also suggest starting with low doses and working your way up until finding what works best for you + your symptoms.

Is cannabis legal?

It depends on who you ask! In the United States, the federal government has yet to legalize cannabis, however, there are currently 29 states that have legalized it for medical use including 11 plus Washington D.C. that have legalized it for both medical and recreational use. If you live in one of those states, then yes, cannabis is legal! If you do not live in one of those states, then no, it is not legal to grow or buy cannabis at this time. However, if you or someone you know lives in a state where marijuana is legal medicine, we highly encourage you to talk to your doctor about using it medically as soon as possible so that they can help determine which strains will work best for your specific needs + symptoms! They can also help determine an appropriate treatment plan and dosage regimen so that you can start feeling better much faster than traditional pharmaceutical treatment! Medical science has come a long way since 1928 when the prohibition of marijuana was enacted despite knowing about its medicinal benefits for centuries prior – we cannot wait another century before this prohibition is finally lifted!
